Mauricio Figueroa, a San Rafael Mendoza, Argentina, native, has built a remarkable career as a music producer and mastering engineer. Starting with early piano lessons at five, he formed his first band, Nicodemos, before transitioning into music production. After success in Chile, Figueroa moved to Miami in 2005, founding a recording studio. He has worked with top artists like Don Omar, Ricardo Montaner, and Juan Fernando Velasco, earning a Latin Grammy nomination for engineering Velasco’s album A Tu Lado. Mauricio Figueroa Heads to the Latin Grammys

Two Grammy-Submitted Albums Highlight the Work of Mauricio Figueroa as Producer, Mixer, and Mastering Engineer

Mauricio Figueroa, a Grammy-winning mastering engineer and music producer based in Miami, announces his key role in two exceptional music projects submitted to the Latin Grammy Awards 2025. Both albums have been presented in the categories of Best Album, Best Engineered Album, and Best Music Production.

The first project, titled "Cuentos, juegos y canciones" by La Banda del Barrio, is a dynamic children’s album that blends funk, pop, and rock with poetic storytelling. Figueroa led the entire technical and creative process — from production to mixing and mastering — ensuring a rich, polished sound that honors the imagination and emotional resonance of childhood. The album was submitted for Best Children’s Album, Best Engineered Album, and Best Music Production.

The second album, “Shin Urayasu”, is an instrumental and classical music release by renowned artists Richard Scofano and Alfredo Minetti, under the label Ibera LLC. This project showcases an elegant fusion of virtuosity and sensitivity, with a meticulous production approach. Mauricio served as the lead mixing and mastering engineer and co-produced the album alongside José Domenech. The album has been submitted for Best Instrumental Album, Best Engineered Album, and Best Music Production.

These submissions highlight Mauricio’s continued commitment to excellence and innovation in the music production field, spanning diverse genres and artistic visions. His work reflects both a refined technical ear and a deep artistic intuition, helping bring to life projects that aim for global recognition.
